Eric David Dostal, O.D.

Dr. Eric Dostal was born and raised in Northampton, Massachusetts. He completed his bachelor’s degree at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire, graduated with a B.A. in Economics in 1992, and continued in post-bachelor studies at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He completed his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1997 at the New England College of Optometry in Boston. Dr. Dostal completed his clinical rotations at the Groton Naval Hospital in Groton, Connecticut, Newington Veterans’ Hospital in Newington, Connecticut, and Dimock Community Health Center in Roxbury, Massachusetts. He opened his first optometry practice in Springfield, Massachusetts, where he practiced for 15 years. In 2013, he moved the practice to Easthampton. Dr. Dostal lives in Florence with his wife, occasionally their two college-aged children, and their dog, Alma. He enjoys fishing, gardening, cooking, and the world champion Boston Celtics.
